POSITION OPENING WITH PROVIDER’S NETWORK – NOVEMBER 12 DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS
Providers’ Network, Inc. is a group of community based private service providers from Southeastern Minnesota who serve persons with disabilities. Providers’ Network, Inc. strives to improve service quality by creating opportunities for networking, training, and support to staff and other stakeholders, aligning strategies with individuals, their families, advocates, government agencies and the community.

Training Coordinator is an independent contractor that coordinates all networking and educational events as well as maintains records such as mailing lists and meeting minutes for Providers’ Network, Inc. Primary responsibilities include:
• Coordinate and arrange speakers, registrations, announcements and meeting spaces for events as directed by/in conjunction with the Training Committee.
• Acting as lead staff to committees and lead staff at all Providers’ Network events.
• Actively market training opportunities sponsored by PNI to member agencies, non member agencies and the general public in order to increase participation and revenue.
• Maintain data bases of member agencies, networking groups, and mailing lists.
• Attend Providers Network, Inc. board/committee meetings as requested by Chair of providers Network, Inc.

Candidate Qualifications:
• Strong project management skills for long and short range projects.
• Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to work with both member and non-member agency personnel.
• Ability to coordinate events for both small and large groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Engaging PowerPoint presentations and training materials; training event fliers and documents in Word; databases in Access; and spreadsheets in Excel.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to changing expectations, requirements and conditions when developing programs, managing projects and coordinating events.
• Experience in the DD field is preferred but not required.
Time Required for this position is variable based on the abilities of the individual holding the position and number of meetings scheduled with various committees. On average, the time required for this position is 10 hours a week. However, the individual holding the position is required to attend meetings and scheduled training events.

Position Available: January 1, 2010 with the possibility of training and orientation in December, 2009.

Compensation: $12,000 annually

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota offering CareBlue Special Needs Basic Care;
Medica offering AccessAbility Solution; and
Metropolitan Health Plan offering Cornerstone Solutions (Hennepin County only).

There is another program called Minnesota Disability Health Options (MnDHO) that operates in the metro area. MnDHO has a pilot project called Partners Choice Network, managed by UCare Minnesota. This project is for adults with developmental disabilities who live in Hennepin, Scott or Carver counties and use one of the disability waiver programs. Partners Choice Network includes the integration of primary health care and long-term care services.
