More about music therapy services for the community…

Individual Music Therapy

Individual music therapy can occur on or off-site.  A music therapy assessment will help to determine a person’s needs and strengths related to his/her health condition as well as musical preferences.  The music therapist will provide you with updates on goals.  Please contact us for current assessment and individual therapy fees.

Group Music Therapy

Music therapy groups are an option for organizations (long term care facilities, schools, etc.) or may be an option for a particular age group at LBSA.  Please contact us about these services and current fees.

Adaptive Music Lessons

Adaptive lessons offer children or adults with special health/wellness needs an opportunity to learn an instrument.  Modifications and adaptations are made as appropriate.  Please contact us for current fees.

HealthRhythms Drumming

Drumming is a useful tool for stress management, building teamwork skills, and even boosting the immune system!   Your music therapist is a  Health Rhythms facilitator, using this evidence-based drumming program in various health and educational settings.  We also have monthly drumming groups at LBSA during the academic school year.  If you have an interest in volunteering for these events, please call for more information.

Presentations/Consulting

Presentations are available regarding music therapy as it relates to health, wellness, and educational needs.  Please call for more information.
