Through the professional developent internship, you’ll provide ongoing learning for LBSA’s high-quality staff.

Interns in this position will be intimately involved in the planning and implementation of our Learning Fair (a two-day conference of classes for staff).

This unpaid internship requires a four to eight hour commitment each week.

Interested in housing? Here’s your call to action! This outstanding internship opportunity includes organizing and planning a housing forum in Northfield. Rooted in skill-building, this internship will address the preservation and establishment of affordable and accessible local housing.

Duties include:

• Contacting and listening to constituents
• Contacting local housing partners

Successful interns will be able to manage multiple priorities successfully, have excellent time management skills and be highly organized.

This is an unpaid intern position.

Enjoy the unique experience to plan a “Reverse” Job Fair in which employers are invited to come interview some of our clients with developmental disabilities. The purpose of the fair is to give clients interview experience and highlight for employers some of the skills that could be of benefit to them.

Through this internship opportunity, you’ll:

• Contact business partners
• Find a location and set up the fair
• Contact interviewees and their guardians

Fairs are currently held quarterly, and the majority of these duties could be performed outside of our offices.

This unpaid internship is approximately 10 hours (flexible) per month.

LBSA has a goal of developing 1,000 engaged advocates on behalf of the organization and our mission to help individuals with disabilities achieve their dreams.

Through this internship opportunity, you’ll be responsible for:

• Researching specific federal and state disability policies (particularly in light of new government administrations)
• Helping to craft strategies that will engage additional community members in support of our mission

This unpaid internship is approximately eight hours (flexible) per month.
